JSC "Siguldas Būvmeistars" was one of the first construction companies in Latvia, which started using the internationally approved principles of the business management.

In Year 2000 the construction and the dolomite production branches of our company were awarded with ISO 9002 quality management Certificate of Approval which has been recertified by ISO 9001:2000 requirements in Year 2003. In June of Year 2006 we received ISO 9001:2000. In Year 2009 the company obtained current prolongation of ISO certificate by getting ISO 9001:2009 cerificate.

The continuous improvement and advancement of the company is very important for us, so in November 2009 we decided that we want to develop and implement an integrated system in our company, where in addition to the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2009 there works also Occupational Health and Safety Management System OHSAS 18001: 2007 and Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2005.

Since March 14, 2017, our environmental management system is certified according to ISO 14001: 2015 standard and extended by a continuous energy consumption evaluation process in accordance with Regulation No. 487 from 26 July 2016 – Regulations on energy audits for enterprises. We also certified the management system according to ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

The company's management system has been regularly developed and improved.

JSC "Siguldas Būvmeistars" throughout all the production cycle voluntarily undertakes to comply with the enterprise social responsibility standard SA 8000.

Since 2019, we decided to keep the Integrated Enterprise Management System on a new principle. We will continue to maintain all three standards - ISO9001:2015; 14001:2015 and OHSAS18001:2007. The management systems ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 will be audited by external auditors, while the standard requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 will be audited by the company itself.

We are a specialized construction, construct supplies production and construction supplies trading enterprise, whose aim is quality and timely satisfaction of a customer’s demand, maintaining the product quality, safe work environment and clean and tidy environment.

We always try to provide a little more than required and try to hear what the customer will want tomorrow and offer it today.

Quality is the grounds of our cooperation with a customer provided by the integrated company’s management system of AS “Siguldas Buvmeistars”.

This system includes three management standards - ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System with continuous energy consumption evaluation process and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety System.

The system provides every employee’s responsibility of the end product, rousing both material and moral interest in achievement of a good result.

Our company’s quality system is not a dogma, but it is the system, which seeks improvements in itself. Our customers find this system pleasing and it provides a material stimulus to our employees to work dutifully, because it results in the quality products, safe and health friendly working conditions, tidy and protected environment.

OF THE COMPANY SIGULDAS BUVMEISTARS, JSC FOR THE YEAR 2019

In Year 2019 it is planned to reach the company’s total turnover - EUR 11.5 million:

• To reach the total annual turnover of EUR 2.8 million in the construction sector;

• To reach the total annual turnover of EUR 3.4 million in the production sector;

• To reach the total annual turnover of EUR 4.15 million in the regional construction material trade centre “Gāles Nams”;

• To reach the total annual turnover of EUR 0.85 million in the rent and leasing sector.

• To reach the total annual turnover of EUR 0.30 million in the firewood production.

To inspect and maintain the quality of the quarry products constantly, in order to ensure that proper product is produced and there would be no case where our products would not meet the quality requirements.

To work so that the company has no workplace related accidents in 2019.

To develop a project and build a new wooden apartments building in collaboration with a local producer.

To build 16 apartment building in Sigulda.

To develop a project for the construction of multi-dwelling buildings in an investment project in Cesis.

To continue developing of our business territory by building our business centre in Sigulda, on Gales Street 27, and create new productions and new working places.

Work so that in 2019 there would be no significant environmental pollution incident from the company's activities.

Reduce paper consumption by 10% in the company by using documents in electronic form wherever possible.

To achieve about 1% reduction in energy consumption per 1 tonne of produced material in quarry "Tūrkalne" by completing the first recultivation round in quarry "Tūrkalne", by replacing old production equipment with more energy-efficient, by personnel training for efficient use of equipment and by continuing fuel consumption monitoring via NAVIREC system.

To launch the EIA (environmental impact assessment) process in dolomite quarry "Tūrkalne" for the remaining part of the quarry.

To train responsible employees on personal data protection.

To continue the personnel training and education on safety, environmental protection and enterprise management system issues by annual trainings, as well as by organizing the courses on the necessary topics. To continue employees education in areas related to their job responsibilities.

To improve the work environment conditions for workers by conducting the annual environmental risk assessment and performing the internal repairs, as well as by modernising the workplaces making them even more comfortable, ergonomic and safer. To make health and accident insurances for all constant workers, to provide a warm lunch at the work place, as well as to perform personnel sustainability measures under the collective agreement.
